I got a last minute inquiry from Hannah a few days before asking if I had time to do a honeymoon session, it was my second one of the week! What a beautiful Friday night! Courtney & Justin got married at the Anna Maria Island Sandbar surrounded by family and friends. Weddings by Lortz did an amazing job performing the ceremony as usual. I couldn’t be more excited to share Emily & Ian’s Siesta Key Beach proposal session. This was a long time coming. Ian wrote me a few months ago inquiring about proposing to his girlfriend but I stopped hearing from him after a while. I got a message from his girlfriend Emily asking about a couple’s session that she wanted to book with her boyfriend. She had no idea he had written me already, she just ended up picking the same photographer he was talking to. What a small world. Anyhow, she booked her own surprise proposal session. We were suppose to shoot at sunset but had to move the session up to sunrise because of hurricane Elsa. It worked out so perfectly, as it was nice weather and hardly anyone was on the beach at the time. Thanks so much for letting me capture this moment for you guys. Hope you enjoy the full gallery!
I love surprise photo sessions! Lexi hired me a few weeks ago to capture their family session on Longboat Key. Her mom had really wanted to do family photos but was told “we can do them on my phone with a tripod like we do every year’ Lexi told her mom when I was walking down the beach towards them that I was their photographer and coming to take family photos. I loved meeting up with the Wightman Family to capture their vacation on Siesta Key as well as their daughter Amanda’s surprise proposal in the middle of the session.
Matt, her boyfriend had the idea of writing on chalkboards and then showing each other what they wrote for one of the pictures. I told them to write one thing they loved about

Caitlin & John are married. This sweet couple had to postpone their wedding three times due to covid but finally said I do at Lido Beach with two special friends present and a whole bunch of family and friends on facebook live.
The weather was perfect, the beach was empty, we basically had the whole place to ourselves. Weddings by Bonnie performed a beautifully written ceremony that had a Crowning of the Stefana. The crowns were imported from Greece and were so pretty.

This beautiful family had their vow renewal of 31 years at Siesta Key Dunes on the Beach. It was absolutely gorgeous, this time with all their kids and grandkids around.The threat of rain stayed in the distance but made for a stunning backdrop for photos at the end of the night. I love doing family sessions at the Sandbar on Anna Maria Island, so many cute little spots to capture families. The Kreunen Family met me and we walked down from their condo and captured all the cute vacation photos! Their two little boys hammed it up for the camera and were the stars of the night.
